A message to the community of Okeechobee

After many years of service, I would like to share that 2026 will be my final year as owner of The Bail Girl of Okeechobee.

Serving these communities of Glades, Martin, Okeechobee, Highlands, and Hendry has been more than a career — it has truly been an honor. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to help individuals and families during some of the most difficult moments of their lives, and I have always done my best to treat every person with fairness, dignity, and respect.

What began decades ago as a small office grew into something far greater than I ever imagined, and that growth was only possible because of the trust and support of the people of the five counties. I am deeply grateful to every client, attorney, court official, and community partner who placed confidence in me and in The Bail Girl.

As I prepare for retirement, I do so with a full heart and sincere appreciation for this community. The relationships built and the service provided will remain among my proudest accomplishments. Thank you for allowing me the privilege of serving you. Okeechobee will always hold a special place in my heart.

With heartfelt thanks,

Shirley Johnson
