Feb. 10, 2026, saw the Pahokee City Commission host a round of meetings.

The first was a special meeting to adopt resolution 2026-05, a resolution to hire Angela Reyes, LLC for provision of finance services, accounting services, and for assistance with OIG compliance responses, corrective action plans and related services in an amount not to exceed $85,000.

The contention of the past several meetings continued in the workshops that were scheduled for the second and third hour. The first workshop hour was dedicated to discussing the steps needed to pursue litigation regarding the misappropriated funds. This item has been Scott’s pet project.

He and others in the community continue to push a false narrative that millions were stolen by elected leaders, city managers, and staff.

The OIG reports pointed out clearly that proper documentation is what is missing for different funds and projects. Scott at every turn questioned the city attorney’s due diligence regarding the matter. Attorney Weeks rightfully explained that charging authorities have the responsibility and burden to go after criminal charges and/or civil charges. Scott demonstrated that he is an embarrassment of a public official (in this matter and more so when questioning the HR Director about a city manager application that was received by the deadline.)

The final hour of the third meeting was to discuss the criteria and process for hiring a permanent manager. Again, this portion of the meeting became unhinged and disruptive when it came to certain public comments from the audience. At more and more meetings, Bussey’s family and supporters use the public comment period to attack Mayor Babb, Commissioner Cowan-Williams, and even Attorney Weeks. They are to blame for the constant strife at the governmental meetings.

Tammy Bussey’s inaction toward how her family and friends act at the podium IS SHAMEFUL AND UNPROFESSIONAL. How she reacts with smiles, laughter, and comments shows you exactly who she is! If you watch how she responded at the end of the meeting after the City Attorney spoke, you can only conclude that she is not a serious professional City Manager. She either keeps the drama going or she lashes out verbally. She is deeply unserious and needs to be removed as Interim Manager based on her actions over the last several meetings. It is my belief that she orchestrates the public comment outrage just to sit back and watch it explode. Bussey is certainly not on the job of moving Pahokee forward or together. This Commission and Interim Manager are hell bent on having endless discussions on discussions. And we wonder why no real Pahokee city business gets done.
