Grace Maxine Grumbling, 82, of Milan, GA, passed away on March 22, 2026. Born on April 2, 1943, Grace had a resilient spirit and an indescribable sense of humor that left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Known for her headstrong approach to life, she later learned there is a place for forgiveness; for giving and receiving. It’s not how you start, but how you finish.
Grace is survived by her husband, M Dale Grumbling Jr., her children, Monica (Terry) Pugh, Rhonda Smith, Paula (Jack) Kieffer, Ronald Grumbling; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three sisters; and seven brothers. After completing her GED at Okeechobee High School in 1987, Grace embarked on a 14-year career as a correctional officer, retiring as a Sergeant from CCA. Her commitment to her role and the skills she displayed were a testament to her dedication and strength.
Grace was also an active member of the Freedom Baptist Church in Milan, where she participated in various community and church activities. Her hobbies included collecting unique items such as Beanie Babies and ceramic frogs, which brought her great joy and showcased her quirky and endearing personality.
