PAHOKEE – A Pahokee man died after the dirt bike he was riding collided with a car on Christmas night, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBS) report. The accident occurred at 5:38 p.m. on Lake Avenue.
According to the report, Joshua Jones, 39, was riding a 2021 Yamaha dirt bike northbound on Lake Avenue “at a high rate of speed.” A 59-year-old Pahokee woman was driving a 2015 Dodge Charger southbound on Lake Avenue, turning eastbound at the intersection with East Fourth Street.
As the car was going through the eastbound turn, the right side of the dirt bike was hit. Jones was ejected. He was pronounced dead one hour later. The driver of the car was not injured. The Charger came to a stop east of the intersection
