ORTONA — On July 14, the U.s. Army Corps Of Engineers issued the following press release:
To all traffic transiting the Ortona Lock, eastbound vessels approaching the lock should be aware the first starboard side dolphin has broken off below the water line; for westbound traffic this is the last port side dolphin. Vessels should avoid this area.
