A two-vehicle crash on Sunday afternoon left both vehicles inoperable. Deputies say that the driver of a white Chrysler 300 traveling east on Westclox Street attempted to cross State Road 29 when the vehicle pulled into the path of a grey Ford F250 which was traveling south at the time. The driver’s side of the Chrysler 300 was struck before the vehicle spun into the southbound lanes of State Road 29. The Ford F250 received damage to the passenger front and rear before coming to a rest in the northbound lanes of State Road 29. Deputies say the driver of the Chrysler 300 was found to be at fault for failing to yield the right-of-way. At last check, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has no immediate plans to upgrade the traffic signal from a four-way flashing light to a traditional traffic signal at this intersection.
