OKEECHOBEE- Two Okeechobee Brahman football players earned All-District honors for their effort this season.
Senior Ni’marion Bryant was named All-District quarterback and senior Carriss Johns was named All-District runningback.
Bryant had 14 rushing touchdowns, 750 yards on the ground and over 500 yards passing this season. While Johns had 6 rushing touchdowns and 600 yards on the ground. Johns had three games of over 100 yards rushing this season for Okeechobee.
The selection process from being names an All-District player is based on votes from all the head coaches and selections are based on comparing stats from each of the nominees.
The Brahmans nominated 11 players for All-District consideration, including Santana Alvarez, Vincent Cantalini, Tyrone Hayes, Juan Aguirre, Jazari Corde, Andre Santiago, Fred Hill, Matthew May, and John White.
Okeechobee finished with a 6-4 record this year, the team’s best since 2016. The Brahman defense held Okeechobee’s first three opponents scoreless while the offense racked up 141 points in the same three-game timespan.
