Hendry County Sheriff’s Office Investigators have identified the a 14 year old juvenile charged in an August 17 shooting.
Fernando “Tito” Gonzalez has been charged with aggravated battery in the shooting of a juvenile at Jaycee Lions Park (LaBelle Civic Park) Monday, August 17. The sheriff’s office received the initial report about 4 p.m.
Gonzalez is currently being held in the Hendy County Jail for processing and will be transported to the Juvenile Detention Facility.
Two additional persons are also being interviewed at this time. More arrests may be made in this case as Investigators continue to follow up on information received.
The 14-year-old victim was reported to be in serious but stable condition.
LaBelle Civic Park is a popular neighborhood gathering place with soccer fields, basketaball courts and playground equipment for young children. It is frequented by neighborhood families.
