Zachary Tanner was awarded a full scholarship through the Boeing High School Scholars program to attend the Aerospace Career Exploration Camp this past July.
The Boeing High School Scholars Program is a highly selective program that provides high school students an experience to explore engineering fields in a college environment. It also provides an opportunity for students to study for a week at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with their engineering peers.
Boeing hired over 1800 college interns last year, and is Embry-Riddle’s Number 1 Employer. This program is a great step towards a successful career in the engineering industry.
Zachary is the 15 year old son of Winn Tanner and the late Scott Tanner. He is a lifelong resident of LaBelle. He will be a freshman at Florida Gulf Coast University in the fall as a part of The Accelerated Collegiate Experience. After completing the ACE program at FGCU and graduating from LHS in 2019, he plans to transfer to Embry Riddle to major in aviation.
