The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is advising commercial and recreational vessels that Ortona Lock will have two scheduled closures to perform maintenance:
• June 16, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• June 17, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Any vessels wishing to traverse through Ortona Lock on these days are advised to do so before 11 a.m. hours as the Lock will not reopen until the next morning. These closures are necessary to perform mechanical upgrades to the sector gates.
The South Florida Operations Office advises all vessels to monitor the Jacksonville District website for any changes or updates.
