COLLIER COUNTY – A 43-year-old Naples man was killed in a head-on crash on Saturday, Jan. 28.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol Report, at 6:55 a.m. on Jan. 28, a Dodge pickup truck with trailer, driven by a 20-year-old LaBelle man, was eastbound on State Road 82, approaching Church Road.
A Ford pickup driven by a 43-year-old Naples man was traveling west on State Road 82.
The FHP report states the Dodge pickup traveled left of the center line. The left side of the Dodge collided with the Ford.
The driver of the Ford pickup was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the Ford truck, a 27-year-old Naples man, was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
