BELLE GLADE — A 76-year-old man who had been reported missing in Opa-Locka on Dec. 2, was found dead in a canal in Palm Beach County on Dec. 4.
Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) responded to call at approximately 12:26 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 4 that a truck had gone into canal. A 2003 Chevrolet Silverado truck operated by Ramon Gonzalez, who has a Clewiston address, was traveling northbound on U.S. 27 in the 13000 block, when for unknown reasons, the truck drove off the right side of the roadway. The front of the truck impacted a guard rail, continued pass the guard rail and drove into a canal.
Detectives from Opa Laka Police Department located the crash site within Palm Beach County. PBSO Marine Unite located the vehicle and driver.
