Mary Bartoshuk has been chosen as the AARP Florida Coast to Coast recipient of the 2018 Dr. Ethel Percy Andrus Community Trailblazer Award. She will receive this award at the Florida Conference of Aging 2018 in Tampa from August 13-15. Mary was nominated by the Area Agency of Southwest Florida. She receives the award to acknowledge her dedication, accomplishments and years of service for the community.
Mary has made significant contributions to the community through her involvement in volunteer and community activities. She does extraordinary work and addresses critical issues that affect the 50 plus population in LaBelle. Mary is a dedicated leader who exemplifies the legacy of AARP’s founder, Dr. Ethel Percy Andrus, whose motto was “to serve and not be served”.
Mary will also receive on of the most prestigious awards in Florida’s professional aging network: the Quality Senior Living Award in the category “Public Service”; for her outstanding contributions to the senior’s community quality of life.
