MOORE HAVEN — As COVID-19 continues to impact the nation and our rural communities, it’s more important now than ever to 1) be informed about local resources and know how to navigate the health system and 2) manage our chronic conditions to stay healthy and safe.
Lake Okeechobee Rural Health Networks (LORHN) is offering two free workshops for rural residents around Lake Okeechobee. Participants enjoy the workshops and appreciate the information shared. Many participants have shared with LORHN how the information from the last workshop has helped them.
Chronic Disease Self-Management Workshop (6-week series; virtual usually lasts about 90 minutes)
Tuesdays, April 20, 27 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Your Health Matters – A Health Literacy Workshop (3 week series; each session is 90 minutes)
Wednesdays, May 5, 12, 19 from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
