LMS Students visit the Caloosa Humane Society

The LaBelle Middle School ESY Program took their students on a fun filled day on Thursday, June 15. Bonnie Feickert, along with her teacher’s assistant Kadyn Pool and with the programs two paraprofessionals Kim Kemp and Samantha Wooddell first took the group to Walmart for a scavenger hunt of sorts. Each student was given a list of items that needed to be purchased and they set off on their mission to find all the items.

After their scavenger hunt/shopping excursion the group was bussed to the Caloosa Humane Society.

The Humane Society has, in the past, visited the students at their school with service animals in tow; and so, the students were very excited to learn where the service animals that they have come to know and love spend their days.

The students that visited the Caloosa Humane Society included Sophia Caltabiano, Eddie Flecha, Goldie McClain, Ashley Reyna, Christopher Topper and Julissa Zuniga.

After spending time visiting many puppies and kittens the students left to go back to school with a sense of adventure and much love in their hearts.

The Caloosa Humane Society is located at 1200 Pratt Blvd., in LaBelle and at www.caloosahumanesociety.org online. The rescue group has many animals that are in need of a good and loving homes. If you’ve been looking for a pet for you or your family you can reach the Calossa Humane Society at 863-675-0997 or info@caloosahumanesociety.org
