LaBelle - The Business Department at LaBelle High School had a record number of Microsoft Office Experts and Microsoft Office Specialists during the 2017-18 school year. There was a total of 22 different students who were Microsoft Experts in MS-Word or MS-Excel. Four of those students, Neydel Rego, Sergio Coronilla, Justin Curtis and Blayne Boyett were expert in both MS-Word and MS-Excel. There were 64 freshmen who received the Microsoft Office Specialist certification as well as 33 sophomores, 7 juniors and 9 seniors. In order to become a Microsoft Office Specialist, you must pass three separate certification tests. Our students all passed MS-Word, MS-Excel, and MS-PowerPoint. To become an expert you must first have your Microsoft Office Specialist certification and then pass two Expert certification tests in MS-Word or MS-Excel (or in the case of the four boys, all Expert tests for MS-Word and MS-Excel) LaBelle High School also added CIW-Internet Business Association certification this year. We had 91 students who certified in it.
Ninth graders that received their CIW-Internet Business Associate certification are Nyah Aguilar, Nicholas Alonzo, Jose Andrade, Daniel Angeles, Milan Barbaria, Mario Bustamante, Vivian Castro, Alexandra Davis, Sebastian Flores, Austin Fradenburg, Andre Fundora, Carlos Gonzalez, Gustavo Hernandez, Luis Hernandez-Trejo, Alejandro Jimenez, Jose Jimenez, Yuridia Lora, Zachery Mann, Taylor Martin, Lane Merchant, Aidan Molina, Abbey Parantha, Magda Pedraza, Renier Pupo, Eric Giovanny Reyes, Herman Rodriguez, Kristy Salgado, CJ Siner, Benjamin Suggs, Cal Walker, Judith Warren, Dylann White, Joshua White, Brandon Williams, Yahaira Zamora-Reyes, and Elizabeth Zuniga-Martinez.

Seniors passing the CIW-Internet Business Associate certification test were Jaden Alderman, Lucila Arrieta, Berniece Cervantes, Juan Coronado, Rene Gomez, Alexander Maldonado, Jason Mathis, David Maxwell, Ricardo Moreno, Zachary Price, Giancarlo Ramirez, and Miguel Roderick. There were also seven individuals that received their Adobe PhotoShop certification. They are: Alberto Cabana, James Wyatt English, Sergio Coronado, Joey Garcia, Zane Marroquin, Fernando Santiago, and Arnulfo Villicana.
