The 16-17 School year is coming to a close and the LHS Administration would like to encourage Senior parents to ask questions or get help with some important tasks. There are several Senior tasks to be finished before the school year ends. We would hope that all seniors have a head start on their future and understand the available resources.
FAFSA paperwork filled out and turned in online. Parents- this is an online process and you will need your tax information available in order to complete it with your student. Students wanting to go to college or technical school should have this filled out.
Seniors should be finishing up with their scholarship applications by the April 4th deadline.
Seniors should also be keeping up with current assignments and monitoring grades. There are several students behind in core subjects.
There will be two more FAFSA nights at LHS (March 21, 4-6 p.m. and April 19, 4-6 p.m.). The Guidance Department has already conducted three so far this year.
Parents wanting an unofficial transcript should contact the LHS Guidance Department. Copies of senior transcripts were given to students in January.
40 failure letters were mailed out February 21 so please contact LHS if you have any questions concerning grades or credits.
Mr. Kelley does not want any surprises so please monitor grades and attendance and please call if there are any concerns.
Student should sign up for the campus visit to SWF for March 22.
Seniors should be going online and filling out application forms for college(s)- especially SWF State College.
Make sure all obligations are paid in full -please see Mrs. Greenleaf. Final Cap and gown orders are due in now.
