LABELLE — The Hendry County Sheriff's Office will hold Lunch and Learn training event with Sgt. Hainley presenting Human Trafficking Awareness & Prevention Training on Friday, Aug. 8 at 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Dallas Townsend Ag Center, 1085 Pratt Blvd. Bring your own lunch. Space is limited, reserve your seat today. RSVP to Jessica.Ivy@flhealth.gov.
Most people know very little about human trafficking and are totally unaware that Florida consistently ranks third in the nation in the number of calls to the human trafficking hotline. During this training you’ll learn the tactics traffickers use to recruit, signs that indicate someone may be a victim, and how to report suspected trafficking activity. You’ll also learn what you can do to protect yourself and your family from falling victim to human trafficking and sextortion scams.
Certificates of training will be provided.
This event is free of charge and open to the public.
