CLEWISTON — Hendry Regional Medical Center is delighted to announce its upcoming free Health Fair, scheduled to take place on Saturday, Feb. 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Hendry Regional in Clewiston. This community-focused event aims to provide vital health services and foster a sense of togetherness among the residents of Hendry and Glades counties.
At the heart of this initiative is a commitment to making essential health services accessible to all. The Health Fair will offer an array of complimentary health screenings, including diabetes testing, anemia testing, HIV screening, and blood pressure checks. The Memory Mobile will also be on-site, providing cognitive health assessments to address the diverse healthcare needs of our community.
In collaboration with the Harry Chapin Food Bank, the event will feature a dedicated area offering food assistance to those in need. R.D. Williams, CEO of Hendry Regional, emphasizes the importance of addressing both physical and nutritional well-being: “Our goal is to provide support to the residents of Hendry and Glades counties. By offering not only health services but also collaborating with organizations like the Harry Chapin Food Bank, we aim to address multiple facets of well-being.”
The Health Fair goes beyond health services, aiming to create a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere for all attendees. Families can enjoy a variety of activities, including children’s bounce houses and interactive programs designed for all age groups. Complimentary food and refreshments will be available throughout the day, enhancing the overall experience for participants.
Hendry Regional invites residents of Hendry and Glades counties to join in this community-wide initiative. The Health Fair not only provides an opportunity for health check-ups but also creates a space for community members to connect, share resources, and build a stronger, healthier community together.
