Yes, you read that right. Not just one, but four talented and determined teenagers from LaBelle have qualified for the National Junior High School Rodeo! Among this closely knit group of friends are:
Bryson Crawford, the 14 year old son of Donnie and Sonja Crawford, a homeschool student, who also enjoys hunting and fishing and attends Christian Cowboy Ministries. Bryson will be competing in Team Roping, Tie Down, and Ribbon Roping. This is Brysons third year at Nationals!
Kaydence Tindall, a 13 year old West Glades eighth grader who enjoys boating on the lake and barrel racing and pole bending, too. She will be competing in Goat Tying and Ribbon Roping. Parents Mark and Lynnette Tindall are proud to see her qualify for the second year.
Doug and Tracey Williams are the proud parents of Tannah Williams- who will be competing in Goat Tying for her first year at Nationals. She is a 13 year old home schooled seventh grader, who also loves time out boating with her friends, and of course chasing barrels and poles.
Brilee Cochran is the daughter of Kenny Cochran and Dr. Bridgette Shewmaker-Cochran, she is an eighth grader at West Glades School. This is Brilee's first year rodeoing and has qualified for Nationals in Breakaway roping. Brilee also enjoys riding her Cutting horse, playing volleyball and salt water fishing. .
We wish all four of these awesome kids luck! Fundraises to help these kids to Nationals will be on June 8 there will be a Cowboy Challenge Rodeo at 7:00 p.m. at the LaBelle Rodeo Grounds.
On Sunday, June 9 at 10:30 until 2:30 p.m. there will be a BBQ hosted by Jonesez BBQ. Tickets are being sold for $12 now and the ticket includes your choice of pulled pork or pulled chicken, two sides and choices are yellow rice, green beans, baked beans, or Mac and cheese.
