OKEECHOBEE – The Okeechobee Cattlemen’s Arena on U.S. 441 N hosted the Okeechobee Cowtown Rodeo March 8 & 9. This was a Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association event, attracting professional rodeo cowboys from all over the country.

Bucking events are based on a point system, with up to 50 points awarded for how well the animal bucks and up to 50 points awarded for how well the cowboy rides.  The rider must stay on the animal for 8 seconds to qualify. Roping, barrel racing and steer wrestling events are based on times.
