BROWARD — According to a press release from Florida Highway Patrol, at approximately 8:27 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 9, a pickup truck, driven by a 57-year-old Clewiston man, was traveling southbound on I75 (S.R. 93) approaching the 37 mile post. For unknown reasons, the driver of the pickup truck veered to the right and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle traveled southeast off the roadway into a water canal, overturned onto its roof, and came to a final rest inside the water canal facing northwest. The vehicle’s inside compartment became full of water while the driver was seat belted behind the wheel.
The driver of the vehicle was transported to Broward General Hospital where he later succumbed to the injuries he sustained in the accident and was pronounced deceased.
This case is still under investigation
