LABELLE – The LaBelle Downtown Revitalization Corporation (LDRC) presented a plan to make improvements in Barron Park at the June 8 meeting of the LaBelle City Commission.
LDRC Executive Director Kelly Boone said they want the park to have an old Florida look.
The gazebo would be preserved. About 30 parking spaces would be added.
The Clara Hall memorial would be preserved, but moved closer to the Julian Keen Jr. memorial. The plan would be phased in as funding allows.
Commissioners agreed they would like the public to have a chance to give input on plans for the park. It will be on the agenda for a future meeting.
