OCALA — Horse owners from around the state are invited to learn the latest science-based information on horse and pasture care at the Florida Equine Institute and Allied Trade Show. This year’s event will be in-person on Sept. 29, 2021 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Southeastern Livestock Pavilion, 2232 Northeast Jacksonville Road in Ocala.
The UF/IFAS Florida Equine Institute and Allied Trade Show, is a full-day in-person event with educational seminars, live animal demonstrations and a trade show.
“We are excited to reconvene in-person this year with a great program,” said Caitlin Bainum, UF/IFAS Extension Marion County livestock agent. “This year, we will feature some basic but important topics such as hoof care and how to read product labels when applying your own farm herbicides and fertilizers. Attendees will get acquainted with some new rules and laws that affect the transportation of horses and the management of their farms.”
For more information or to purchase tickets, visit the event website at https://www.eventbrite.com. Capacity is limited, so interested attendees are encouraged to register early. Vendors interested in the tradeshow can contact Caitlin Bainum.
