Okeechobee – Anatalia Garcia Navarrete died September 8, 2023. She was born August 24, 2006 in Sebring, Florida. She was known to her family as Nati, and to her friends she was known as Ana.
A lifetime resident of Okeechobee, she was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Anatalia was competitive in pageants, having won Miss American Legion Post 64, Reigning Miss Worldwide International Teen Okeechobee 2023-2024. She was a Senior at Okeechobee High School and she was tak-ing Dual Enrollment classes at Indian River State College. She had several certifi cations for AG including Greenhand Certifi cation. She loved competing with her brother academically – even so far as taking welding classes. She worked at Golden Corral and volunteered with Our Village. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and her boyfriend, Angel. She also enjoyed modeling, eyelashes, time outdoors, soccer, basketball, volleyball, and track.
Anatalia was preceded in death by her brother, Antonio-Jose Garcia Navarrete; maternal grandfather, Moises Matehuala Garcia; maternal great grandparents, Simon and Mary Garcia; paternal great grandparents, Fidel and Maria Navarrete and Antonio and Carmen Garcia; uncle, Billy Jimmie Osceola; and aunt, Neka Lynn Garcia.
She is survived by her parents, Antonio G. Navarrete and Alexandra Garcia Navarrete; brother, Alexzander Garcia Navarrete; sister, Alizabeth Garcia Navarrete; maternal grandparents, Helen Aldama Garcia and Jose Aguirre Bedolla; paternal grandpar-ents, Hilda G. Navarrete and Jose M. Navarrete; maternal aunts and uncles, Aurelio Galvan (Trish), Cassandra Terrazas, Martha Galvan, Moses Garcia (Jennifer), Angelica Medrano (Esau), Esmeralda Tijerina, Oracio Aguirre, and Julio Aguirre; paternal aunts and uncles, Jose Navarrete (Maria), Hilda Quito (William), Sandra Varillas (Paul), and Santiago Navarrete (Yesenia); boyfriend, Angel Chavez; and a host of cousins and extended family members.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. until family service at 7
p.m. Friday, September 15, 2023 at Buxton & Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be 9
a.m. Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
