Special to the Caloosa Belle
Sophomore Haylee O’Bannon is a Varsity Cheerleader with the opportunity of a life time. This summer Haylee was selected, due to her superior cheerleading, dance, and leadership skills, as an All American Cheerleader with the Universal Cheerleading Association.
As a Varsity All American Cheerleader she has the opportunity to participate in the New Year’s Eve parade in London along with the opportunity to tour it for 7 days.
Haylee, the grand-daughter of a Vietnam veteran, came to Dana-Howard-Weekley American Legion Post 130 for our support. Haylee gave a speech to the Post 130 Executive Board to let us know how much this trip means to her and what an honor it will be to represent our town.
The veterans at the post voted to help with her second deposit in the amount of $1,500. We also have a donation jar at the post for anyone interested in helping Haylee make this dream come true. The Legion is honored to support our youth. We also challenge you to help our community.
If you are interested in helping Miss O’Bannon with this adventure please contact the Post at 863-675-8300 for information.
