OKEECHOBEE — The William H. Raulerson Camp 2080 Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV) held a charter party on Saturday, May 17. Presenting the camp charter to Commander Brad Phares (center) was Roy Hudson, Florida Division SE Commander and Army of the Tennessee Councilman (right). Also present was the 12th Brigade Commander Jim Odell (left). The camp is named in honor of William H Raulerson who was Peter Raulerson’s brother (Peter was the first settler in Okeechobee). William was the first person buried in Evergreen Cemetery.
