OKEECHOBEE — Andrew McKillop, one of nine members of his family to serve in the military, had a surprise visit from Deputy Director of the Florida Veterans Administration Bob Asztalos to present him with the Veterans Service medal for his service during the Korean War. The Deputy Director said, “So glad to visit my hero, mentor and good friend Andrew Mckillop at his home in Okeechobee and present him with a Florida Veterans Foundation Veterans Service Medal for his service during the Korean War.” [Courtesy photo]
