Ronald “Ronnie” Bridges, age 69, of Miami, Oklahoma, formerly of Okeechobee Florida, passed away on May 10, 2025. He was born August 19, 1955 in Ashland, Oregon to Jack and Birdie Bridges.

He was born with a deep love for the land and the people around him, Ronnie spent most of his life in Okeechobee, where he worked as a ranch hand, citrus grove manager and earned a reputation as a true jack of all trades. Whether he was fixing fences, working cattle, wild horse racing or lending a hand to a neighbor he did it with strength, loyalty and humility.

Ronnie was a Christian man who lived by his values- hardworking, honest, and tough as they come. To those who knew him, he was the toughest man they’d ever met, but beneath that strength was a deep, enduring love for his family. He found his greatest joy in being surrounded by his kids, grandkids and great-grandkids.

He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends – usually around a fire, with so many stories to tell or a hand to lend. His presence filled a room, and his absence leaves a space that can never be replaced. Ronnie’s legacy lives on in the family he cherished, the lives he touched and the land he helped shape with his two hands.

Ronnie was preceded by his Parents Jack James Bridges and Birdie Mae Rowell-Bridges; Son, Buck Bridges; Nephews Jake Thomas and Brian Ennis.

Ronnie is survived by his Wife Angie Bridges; Son Brett (Hailey) Bridges; Daughters Carrie Bridges (Lance Tuten), Shanda Walker (Ronnie Ammons), Taylor Chambers (Jeremy Blaine). Grandchildren Darin, Daylin, Rylie, Chacie, Cash, Brodie, Jack, Laney, Abby, Beau, Elijah and Rooker; Great-Grandchildren Jhett, Everly, Caden and Sawyer. Sisters Jane (Tom) Warren, Debra Bridges and Connie Bridges, and numerous nephews and nieces near and dear to his heart.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday June 28th, 2025 time 11:00am at Freedom Ranch, 11655 Hwy 441 SE, Okeechobee FL. 34974. Anyone that would like to share a story or a picture is invited to attend.
