OKEECHOBEE — HCA Florida Raulerson Hospital has earned an “A” grade in the Spring 2025 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade, a national recognition of the hospital’s commitment to protecting patients from preventable harm, including medical errors, injuries, accidents and infections.

The Leapfrog Group is an independent, national watchdog organization that advocates for health care transparency and safety. Updated twice annually, the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade assigns letter grades—A through F—to general hospitals nationwide based on their performance in preventing medical harm. It remains the only ratings program in the country solely focused on how well hospitals keep their patients safe.

The Hospital Safety Grade is developed under the guidance of a national panel of experts and uses up to 27 publicly available safety measures to assign grades to more than 2,700 U.S. acute-care hospitals. The methodology is peer-reviewed, transparent and accessible to the public.
