There was a time that without oncoming traffic and in order to avoid potholes, we could weave our vehicles around the pockmarked road known as Lofton Road. That’s impossible now and I fear wheel alignment and tire replacement will become more frequent especially when the holes are obscured by heavy rain.
Okeechobee County commissioners may we have an updated timeframe for the replacement project? The beautifully slick blacktop on SR 98 brings some optimism but perhaps that’s false hope.
