Okeechobee pool has summer hours

Posted

OKEECHOBEE – The Okeechobee County Parks and Recreation Sports Complex Pool summer hours started May 28 and will run through Aug. 3.

The pool is open Wednesdays through Sundays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Admission is $4 per person for the main part of the pool and $3 per person for lap swimming. Children age 3 and younger will be admitted free when accompanied by a paid, swimming adult. They must use a “swim diaper.” Swim diapers will be available for purchase for $2.

Discount rates are available for groups. After regular hours, the pool can be rented for private pool parties. Fees depend on the people invited to the party, as larger groups require more lifeguards. Make reservations with the Parks and Recreation Office 863-763-6950.

The pool will be closed to the public during Shockwave Swim meets on June 28, July 12 and July 26.

Family Swim Nights will be held every Thursday from June 9 through July 31, from 6 to 8 p.m.
