OKEECHOBEE -- Okeechobee County is pleased to announce the implementation of a new permitting system that will enhance the online management of permit applications for contractors and residents. Starting June 23, 2025, the Enterprise Permitting and Licensing Suite by Tyler Technologies will replace the County's existing TRAKiT and eTRAKiT systems.
Please note that the current eTRAKiT system will cease accepting submittals and inspection requests after 4 p.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2025. We encourage all users to finalize their application submittals before this deadline. During the transition period, please contact the Community Development Department at 863-763-5548 to schedule an inspection.
Also, during this transition period, you can make permitting-related credit card payments by calling 863-763-5548 or by visiting us in person at 1700 NW 9th Avenue, Suite A, Okeechobee, Florida 34972. We are currently working on completing our online payment system and appreciate your patience as we enhance our payment processing options.
Okeechobee County is committed to improving service delivery by enabling applicants to navigate the entire permitting process online. This new system aims to simplify and improve the efficiency of the application process.
To assist users in adapting to the new system, Okeechobee County will host demonstration sessions in the near future and provide prepared user instructions tailored for both contractors and owner-builders.
