News from Okeechobee County Sheriff's Office

The Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a double shooting that occurred in the early morning hours of Nov. 2 in the Douglas Brown Park area of Okeechobee County off of NE 13th Ave.

Two subjects were reported shot after an argument turned violent.

Both subjects were transported to Lawnwood Hospital in Fort Pierce, Florida, where they are in stable condition.

The incident is being investigated, and updates will be released as they develop.

We are confident that there is no threat to the public and this was an isolated incident.
