OCSO assists with benefit poker run

OKEECHOBEE — VFW Post 10539 would like to thank the Okeechobee County Sheriff's Office deputies Officer Adrian Rogers, Officer Varnadore, Officer Reno and Officer Bunting for their assistance in escorting the motorcycle riders that participated in the Benefit Poker run organized by Bikers for Wounded Heroes this past Saturday, April 5. This coordinated effort was to raise funds for the three PBSO - Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office deputies that were killed on November 21, 2024.

They would also like to thank all of the volunteers that assisted with parking- Craig Innes and Bob Colucci, food preparation Tommy Lamunion and Robin Cook, food service- Lesa Pelfrey and Paula Virgin, our bartenders Lisa Ward, Natalie Rexroad and Pam Barton, the Band Raisin Cain, Sam Davis for assisting with Poker hands, Veterans Service Officer Paul Hiott, as well as all of our members and patrons. It was a privilege and honor to be chosen as a stop and we are very proud and grateful to have such a wonderful community come out to show their love and support for our law enforcement officers , first responders and veterans.
