Joseph “Joe”, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2025, at the age of 92. Born on December 17, 1932, in Lake City, Florida, Joe was the son of the late Cyler and Lena Revels. They moved to Lake Harbor, Florida when Joe was an infant. He was a graduate of Belle Glade High School.
A proud veteran, Joe served honorably with the United States Army during the Korean War. His strong work ethic and dedication carried into civilian life, where he worked for 17 years with Glades Gas Company and spent 25 years with Sugar Cane Growers.
In 1990, Joe and his wife made their home in Okeechobee, Florida, after relocating from Belle Glade. A devoted family man, Joe cherished time spent with his loved ones. He was often found cheering from the sidelines at football fields, baseball diamonds, softball games, and bowling alleys, faithfully supporting his children and grandchildren in every sport they played.
An avid fisherman, Joe found great joy in casting a line on Lake Okeechobee, especially when shared with family. His quiet strength, unwavering loyalty, and kind heart will be remembered by all who knew him.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Neltrice “Nell” Revels; his daughter, Debbie Miller (David); his sons, Mike Revels (Lasha), and Mark Revels; and 4 grandchildren, Dustin Lewis (Debbie), Jason Lewis, Ashley McNeeley (Jason), and Adam Revels; great-grandchildren, Lyn’d (James), Korbyn, Christopher, and Jeffrey Joseph “JJ”. And 1 great-great-grandchild, Landree, and a host of nieces and nephews, all of them brought him immense pride and happiness.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and simple joys. Joe Revels will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
