Jesse died June 15, 2025. He was born March 19, 1936 in Indianapolis, Indiana. A resident of Okeechobee for 21 years, he was a member of First United Methodist Church, the Masonic Fraternity where he was three time Master Mason and the UAW local 23 where he was the Vice President. He enjoyed golf and fishing, he was a retired machine repairman from GM Truck and Bus plant after 30 years.
Mr. Pittard was preceded in death by his parents, John Barney Pittard and Clonia Lucille Pittard; daughter, Lesa Pittard; brother, LeRoy Wickliff; sisters, Louise Siddall, Theda Morgan, and Barbara Riegal; and great grandchildren, Audrey Cleary, Loretta Cleary, and Lillian Tolliver, baby Tolliver, and baby Thompson.
Jesse is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sedonna Sue Pittard, of Okeechobee, Florida; son, John David Pittard (Jennifer), of Fort Pierce, Florida; daughters, Teresa Ann Yazel (Chris), of Attica, Indiana, Diana Sue Popp (Dennis), of Beech Grove, Indiana, and Tina Lynn Loy (Rick), of Naples, Florida; seven grandchildren, Josh Yazel, Amy Burchett (Doug), Ashley Cleary (Josh), Lucy Tolliver (Joe), Emily Thompson (Jeremy), Dominiq Hawkins (Mitchel), and Tim Sloan; and nine great grandchildren, Clara Cleary, Ellie Cleary, Leah Tolliver, Rachel Tolliver, Jaxon Thompson, Elizabeth Thompson, Jace Thompson, Dylan Burchett, and Elora Hawkins.
The family will welcome friends and family from 1 p.m. until service at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 22, 2025 at Buxton & Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Shriners Childrens Pediatric Orthotic & Prosthetic Services LLC and Masonic Scholarships.
