FORT PIERCE — On April 8, Indian River State College (IRSC), a national leader in accessible, high-quality education, announced a strategic partnership with Grammarly, the world’s leading AI assistant for communication and productivity. This collaboration highlights the College’s commitment to innovation and workforce preparedness by providing students and faculty with cutting-edge AI-driven writing support.

As artificial intelligence reshapes workforce readiness, IRSC is at the forefront of preparing its graduates for success. Through this partnership, all students and faculty will have access to Grammarly’s advanced AI tools, including real-time writing feedback, personalized revision suggestions, and student-specific features like responsible AI use reminders and AI training resources.

“At Indian River State College, we believe that preparing our students for tomorrow means embracing the technologies of today,” said Dr. Timothy E. Moore, IRSC president. “This partnership with Grammarly represents our commitment to transforming education by equipping our students with the communication skills and AI literacy that will define the future workforce. We are teaching students how to learn, adapt, innovate, and excel in an increasingly digital world.”

Grammarly provides real-time feedback on grammar, clarity, conciseness, and tone, enabling students to refine their writing and develop AI literacy skills. Faculty can also leverage these insights to guide students in improving their writing, allowing for more meaningful engagement with course content.

“Artificial intelligence is as significant to education as the invention of the printing press and the digital computer,” said Dr. Bruce Fraser, Director of the College’s Institute for Academic Excellence. “By integrating Grammarly’s AI-powered assistance into our curriculum, we are enhancing student learning and equipping graduates with the skills needed to thrive in an AI-driven economy.”

The partnership aligns with the College’s goals of promoting student success and encouraging technological innovation. By leveraging Grammarly’s AI-powered insights, students will gain experience in using AI tools ethically, preparing them for careers where AI-assisted communication is a fundamental skill.

This collaboration supports IRSC’s 2022–2025 Strategic Plan, which prioritizes student learning, technological access, and workforce development. As a recognized leader in higher education innovation, the College continues to integrate AI-driven solutions to enhance student outcomes and career readiness.
