Franklin voted to restrict state and local government

Letter to the Editor

Posted

In his ongoing efforts to erode state and local governmental power, our Congressman Franklin voted to STOP any state or local governmental controls over artificial intelligence for 10 years.

Maybe the good citizens of Okeechobee wanted their congressman to cede state and local governance to the federal government, but I for one think that is a terrible idea.

For details and the exact wording, please see section 43201 of the big, ugly bill that Congressman Franklin voted for. Additionally, your UNELECTED Senator Moody is also considering ceding state and local governance authority to the federal administration.

I urge anyone with concerns one way or another to reach out to Congressman Franklin and Senator Moody.
