Elwanda, 95, died Sunday, September 24, 2023, at Saluda Nursing Center.Born in Leachville, Arkansas and a daughter
of the late Theodore Muriel Staley and Hazel Davis Staley, she was the wife of the late James Charles Wigginton. Mrs. Wigginton received her master’s degree from Michigan State University, she taught at several Christian schools throughout her career. She attended Buckhead Ridge Baptist Church in Florida.
Surviving are two daughters, Jo Lietzke (Ron) of Batesburg, SC, and Samantha Quinlin (Roger) of Okeechobee, FL, a son, James N. Wigginton (Georgi) of Okeechobee, FL, five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Wigginton was preceded in death by a brother, Theodore Staley and a sister, Mary Staley.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Caring Community Church, 1015 Irwin Ave., Albion, MI 49224 and the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Events and parties are not affiliated with Caring Community Church.
