OKEECHOBEE- The Okeechobee High School Brahman football program is hosting a spring game this week on May 19.
The Brahmans will host the Hardee Wildcats at OHS with kickoff set for 7 p.m.
The theme for the spring game is “First Responders Night”. First responders will be recognized before the game, with an escort onto the field by players as well as a song.
The football team hosted a purple and white scrimmage game on May 11 at OHS. It was the first of two scrimmages the team has planned for this year. Thr eighth grade squad had their own scrimmage at 11 a.m., before the Brahmans played a 7 on 7 showcase.
The football program closed out the day with an intersquad scrimmage between two teams mixed with JV and varsity players.
In the upcoming spring game, the Brahmans face a Hardee squad that finished with a similar record to their own last year. The game should be a good test for both teams as they head into the summer and prepare for next season.
