OKEECHOBEE – Okeechobee County Extension Office is now accepting applications for the popular annual summer camps. Registration is first-come, first-served. In the past, these camps have filled up fast!
• H20 Encounter Environmental Education Day Camp: June 16-20 (week 1), June 23-27 (week 2), July 14-18 (week 3), July 21-25 (week 4).
H20 Encounter Environmental Education Day Camp (H20 Camp) is a camp program focused on fun and interactive environmental education activities. Campers will learn about our local natural resources with a focus on water related activities. Adventures such as an eco-tour of the Indian River Lagoon, seining trip, UDT Navy Seal Museum visit, a visit to Crystal Springs Preserve, and some water park fun are all planned for this camp.
UF/IFAS Extension/Okeechobee County 4-H would like to thank Children’s Services Council of Okeechobee for their partnership and support that make this camp possible.
Registration fee of $175 includes light breakfast, lunch, snacks, camp shirt, and all camp activities.
• Trek Through Florida History Camp: July 7 to July 11, 2025.
Youth must be 8 years old as of Sept. 1, 2024 to participate as a camper.
