LABELLE -- The Hendry County School District is seeking input from the community regarding its rebranding efforts.
"Hendry County is becoming the heart of the Heartland of Florida," Adams said in a written statement. "We are seeing growth and population increases unlike ever before.
"Hendry county schools currently has the highest student enrollment count in history and the best part of all is that we have more community support than ever before.
"This has been proven at the polls with the recent passing of the half-cent sales tax referendum and also with the incredible turn out to all of our athletic and special events.
"We are proud, motivated and excited about the future of our county and our schools.
"Just look at the great things that are happening. We are in the process of getting a new high school and improving the facilities and conditions of all of our schools. We are providing equitable access to technology, we are a 1:1 student-to-device ratio school district K-12. We are the only school district in Florida to have Promethean interactive smart panels in every classroom. We are going above and beyond, day in and day out, to make sure our students are getting the best education possible.
"We are rebranding because we want to visually represent this momentous change that is happening and we want our stakeholders and community members to make the final decision on what education looks like in Hendry County.
"Rebranding our district, with the community vote as the final say, will continue to unite us as a county and as a school district. It will allow us to represent all of the great things that are happening here and it will help support us in recruiting the best teachers and staff members to our already outstanding team.
"We at Hendry county encourage you to take an active role in our journey. We are dedicated to excellence in education and we are committed servants of our community, students and parents.
"Here is the URL to our initial survey to help us begin the design process: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/VCGSXG5
"More surveys will be released in the near future that will ultimately lead to the final selection of our new logo design.
"Thank you from all of us at Hendry County Schools!"
