LABELLE — Hendry Regional Medical Center is thrilled to announce the installation of a cutting-edge 3D mammography machine at its LaBelle Convenient Care Center. This remarkable addition to the healthcare offerings in LaBelle has been made possible through the generous support of the local community and the HRMC Foundation, which contributed an astounding $250,000 to bring this advanced technology to the region.
Breast health is a matter of paramount importance, and HRMC is committed to providing the highest standard of care to the residents of LaBelle and its surrounding areas. This 3D mammography machine represents a significant leap forward in early breast cancer detection and diagnosis, offering superior image clarity and enhanced accuracy compared to traditional mammograms.
The HRMC Foundation’s unwavering dedication to the well-being of the community has been instrumental in making this project a reality. Their generous donation of $250,000 underscores their commitment to ensuring that the people of LaBelle have access to state-of-the-art healthcare services.
U.S. Sugar, a longstanding supporter of HRMC and the local community, has also played a pivotal role in making this endeavor possible. Their generous contribution of $30,000 towards the acquisition of the 3D mammography machine demonstrates their deep commitment to the health and well-being of the region.
“This new 3D mammography machine is a game-changer for breast health in LaBelle,” said Elaine Wood, CFO of U.S. Sugar, and hospital authority board secretary/treasurer. “We are proud to stand with HRMC in the fight against breast cancer and support this important addition to the community’s healthcare resources.”
Electa Waddell, executive director of the HRMC Foundation, shared her excitement about the project, saying, “The HRMC Foundation is dedicated to enhancing healthcare services in our community. We are delighted to see our fundraising efforts come to fruition in the form of this cutting-edge technology, which will undoubtedly benefit countless lives.”
The new 3D mammography machine comes as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, emphasizing the importance of early detection and highlighting HRMC’s commitment to providing the best possible care to those affected by breast cancer.
HRMC invites the community to join in celebrating this milestone and the incredible support from local donors and partners that has made it possible.
