HCSO swears in new deputy

LABELLE -- On Nov. 22, Hendry County Sheriff S. Whidden had the opportunity to swear in Andru McCarty as a new member of the Hendry County Sheriff's Office. Deputy Andru McCarty  graduated from the South Florida Criminal Justice Academy in Avon Park, Class BLE-271, on Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2023. McCarty will be assigned to the Road Patrol Division. From left to right are: Lt. Michael Rowan, Deputy A. McCarty and Sheriff Steve Whidden.
