GLADES COUNTY -- Two pickup trucks collided head-on on State Road 78, east of State Road 29 Thursday evening, resulting in one death, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
According to the FHP report, the accident occured at 8:51 p.m. on Feb. 23.
One pickup was traveling east on SR 78, east of SR 29. The other pickup weas traveling west on SR 78.
The eastbound pickup veered into the westbound lane of travel, and the vehicles collided head-on.
The driver of the eastbound pickup was pronounced deceased at the scene. He has not been identified.
The driver of the westbound pickup was a 29-year-old Sebastian man. He was injured in the crash.
The accident is under investigation.
