Guadalupe O. Gutierrez

Guadalupe O. Gutierrez died March 28, 2025. She was born December 13, 1931 in Loma Prieta, Mon-temorelos, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. A resident of Okeechobee for 60 years, she was a member of Church of Our Saviour and FOE Eagles Cypress Hut 4509. She loved to dance, play cards and chalupa with the great grands, and visit the casino.
Mrs. Gutierrez was pre-ceded in death by her hus-band, Guadalupe R. Guti-errez; mother, Mercedez Cavazos; father, Juan Oca-nas; son, Jose Olivarez; great grandson, Billy Joe Olivarez; brother, Robert Ocanas; and sister, Elia Garza.
She is survived by her son, Roberto Olivarez (Sharon) and Michael Olivarez, all of Okeechobee, Florida; daughter, Diana G. Stark (Brad), of Okeechobee, Florida; grandchildren, Sylvia Hill, Jose Olivarez (Claudia), Elvis Olivarez, Monica Olivarez, Chari-ty Walker (Derek), Bradly Stark, Jr. (Karli), Andrea Ott (Tyler), Jonathan Lara (Christine); 17 great grand-children; brother, Leo Oca-nas (Carmen), of Traverse City, Michigan; sister, Fla-via Cortez, of Mexico; and many loving nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Thurs-day, April 3, 2025 at Buxton & Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home. The service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 4, 2025 Church of Our Sav-iour. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
