SEBRING — A Florida Highway Patrol press release stated that at approximately 8:06 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 16, a pickup truck operated by a 43-year-old Wauchula man was traveling south on Sparta Road, west of Orday Road when the left rear passenger, a 38-year-old Port Charlotte woman, exited the truck through the open rear left window while it was in motion. The passenger then collided with the side of the truck and fell onto the travel lane and came to rest on Sparta Road.
It was reported the woman was transported to a local area hospital and later pronounced deceased.
