Margot Walpurga Nagelschmidt

Okeechobee – Margot Walpurga Nagelschmidt, 84,  died February 21, 2023. She was born June 3, 1938 in Frankfurt, Germany. A resident of Okeechobee for 12 years, she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Okeechobee. She loved shopping, doing word puzzles, and spending time with her family and friends.
She will be remembered by her friends Steve, Carlos, Rosalee, Rusty and Heidi, and all her friends at the Riverbend Mobile Home Park along with her friends from Germany, Hans and Brigitte, Siggi, Julia, and their son Markus, Peter Bender and family, and Annette.
Mrs. Nagelschmidt was preceded in death by her father, Johann Georg Altvater; mother, Frieda Altvater; sister, Marianne Altvater; and step grandson, Kenneth James Richbourg.
She is survived by her sons, Fritz Nagelschmidt (Nancy), of Okeechobee, Florida, and Eric Nagelschmidt, of Germany; grandchildren, Nicole Schendzielos (Ryan), of South Dakota, Tabitha Nagelschmidt, of Okeechobee, Florida, and Sam Eric Thomas Acker, of Germany; great grandchildren, Teddy Mauss, of South Dakota, Athen Mauss, of South Dakota, Mason Heasley, of Okeechobee, Hazel Heasley, of Okeechobee, and Atlas Heasley, of Okeechobee; cousins, Volker Altvater (Ruth), of Port St. Lucie; step grandchildren, Heather Richbourg, of Port St. Lucie, and Jeffory Williams (Kayla), of Sebring; and step great grandson, Devon Richbourg, of Okeechobee.
A celebration of life will be held 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, March 11, 2023 at River Bend Mobile Home Park.
