MOORE HAVEN -- Florida High School Rodeo Association (FHSRA) will kick off the new school year with a rodeo in Moore Haven Sept. 9 and 10.
Sign-in will be 8 to 9 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 9 at the Bronson Arena, 250 10th Street in Moore Haven. Participants are required to wear rodeo dress code for sign-in. After each contestant signs in, their photo will be taken for the yearbook.
There will be a mandatory meeting at 9:15 a.m. The rodeo starts at 10 a.m. Tri-State Roping will start at 4 p.m.
On Sunday, church services will start at 9 a.m. Jim Burnette will be the guest speaker. Burnette is an alumni FHSRA member, 8 time Southeastern Circuit Champion Saddle Bronc Rider, 2 years PRCA Bull Fighter and one year Bareback Rider. Jim has a heart like Christ. This will be a great kick-off for the year. Please join us for this amazing opportunity.
